Description

Several hundred years after the collapse of the United States government, most people live happily in small communities. Masha, an airship captain, helps move goods all across the continent to each of these communities, doing her best to avoid the ruins of the old metropolises that dot the land. They are dangerous places, filled with people who refuse to let go of old ideas or properly adapt to the new world. They are quick to violence and don't seem to understand that the rest of the world has mostly given up war as a pastime.

But for all their bristly behavior and claims to self-sufficiency, the people in the old cities expect supplies to be delivered from the outside world every few months. Masha doesn't mind helping, but she does struggle to comprehend the people who have chosen near-starvation and a difficult, often cultish lifestyle. On one of her trips to an old city, a girl comes to her, desperate to be taken away from her home so that she may start anew. Masha agrees, but what follows could disrupt the tentative peace the continent has upheld for centuries.
