This is mostly true and also sometimes a parody guys, don't think it has something to do with racism.
Just to clarify, I am Filipino-Chinese, and Music has always been a part of my life. Mainly because my mother was a pianist and she encouraged my sister and I to start lessons young. But with most Asian families, Music is often seen as an achievement, thus developing early competition among youngsters (this is very common.), but not to the extent of hate, rather formal rivalry.
...But there are exceptions of some children who just love learing the instrument or others are forced into learning it. Being competitive is not always the case.
