With the amount of work I do, shouldn't I be the one running this company? I know It's because the director trusts me, I mean I love my job even though I'm just a secretary, but I think he just likes watching me work. I look up to see his gaze is still fixed on me. Nathan Hudson, the youngest and most eligible director in our company is who I have to face everyday at work.
My alarm rings, saving me. "It's lunch time sir, would you like your usual or do you want something else", I say firmly. I don't want to be proud of the fact that I'm used to his behaviour but seeing as I've worked directly under him for 3 years, it doesn't trouble me as much anymore. I'm not sure if that's a good thing.
"I would like us to eat together today, and I am not taking no for an answer this time", he says with a cute smile on his face. When would he stop acting like a child, I think while shaking my head.
"I have a some important business to take care of later, so I can only do lunch. I would change your reservation to 2 people. And I've also warned you about this before sir, but while we are in the office, I would appreciate it if you would keep things professional", I say taking a step back. He really needs to work on his boundary building.
"But I am keeping everything very professional right now", he says smiling innocently while inching even closer.
"Then why are you holding my hand right now?" I point to my hand which is currently intertwined in his.
"This is me keeping it professional, I want to do way more than this" he lifts my hand and lightly brushes his lips against it, his gaze as piercing as ever.
"Next time anything like this happens, you would be called into HR", I say with a stern face.
"Alright, I'm sorry for taking it too far but you never take anything I say seriously", he whines but lets go of my hand. "Since I get to eat you- I mean, eat with you today, I am happy. You can leave now, I'll be out in 5 minutes".
"Understood", I nod and take my leave. I can always feel his gaze behind me every time I leave. How much longer can I last here?
"What do I have this afternoon, Andrew?", he asks while we are in the car.
"You have a brief meeting with 00 agency and after that a spa appointment."
"So I don't have anything important then" he sighs, "I can finally rest a bit".
"We've arrived sir", I say stepping out of the car.
The only thing I can eat in this place is pasta, every other thing is too spicy for me. We sat down on our tables and started eating in silence when our meals came. We talked a bit about random things and laughed a few times, at least there were no innuendoes this time which actually makes him seem normal or average although that's not true.
I excused myself to the bathroom to check my phone, he has been blowing up my phone for way too long and now my battery is low. I've got to remember to charge it when I get back. Reading everything he sent just made me pissed, why haven't I blocked his number yet. "Haah, I can't do this anymore", I put my phone back and started heading back to the table.
"I am going to ignore you", I say.
Yes, that's what I'll do, I've been good at it.
"Ignore me? Is there a reason for that?"
I heard a deep, sweet voice ask. Oh no!! I didn't mean to say that out loud. "Uh-oh I wasn't talking to you sir", I say looking up at the person. How can someone's voice sound so beautiful, I have to know who owns it. "Ah, I thought so. Then excuse me." He smiled at me politely.
Huh?
