Symmachy revolves around a Japanese traveler named Sayo looking to study the art of the western sword and a squire reject named Herrin. It’s in a world that’s mostly accurate to real history, but certain forms of magic are commonplace; however, magic is largely looked down upon in the case of religious superstition. The year is 1348— the year the Black Plague reached England. Our two protagonists get tied up in a journey involving a satanic curse, the King of England, an underground society of magicians, and the philosophy of God himself. This only really scratches the surface though.
