Once upon a time, there was a war. Demons, the definition of fear, anger, hatred, and evil, were devastating lands far and wide, murdering and destroying everything they could. Mythical beings, or Supernaturals as they called themselves, retaliated as much as they could, but to no avail.

Once upon a time, an entire race went extinct, pouring their hopes into something they believed would save them. That it would solve their problems, and cure the evil that plauged the world.

Once upon a time, a mistake had been made. A single flaw that tore every ounce of hope away.

Once upon a time... What an overused beginning to tales of heroes that saved the world, and lived happily ever after. This isn't that story. There is no such thing as safe- no such thing as happy. For there is a balance to everything. We cannot see the light without the dark, and we cannot see the dark without the light.

There will always be problems, but there will always be solutions. And this is a story about a very dangerous problem, and a very sorrowful solution.
