On this frigid night, the wind whips through the air, a chilling dance swirling around me, causing shivers to ripple through my body.
Must I endure this night under the open sky to prove my loyalty?
I pray for survival until morning, fearing I may become a frozen statue upon the ground.
As darkness cloaks the once sunny sky, I huddle beneath a thin blanket, lying outside the cabin.
Sleep eludes me at first, but eventually, exhaustion claims me. In the dead of night, I awaken to a glowing light and the ominous figure of a person, torch in hand, clad in a black jacket.
A scream tears from my throat as the figure turns, revealing crimson eyes and a sinister smirk.
With a torch in hand, they approach, searing my wrist with flames before vanishing into the darkness.
I run to the cabin, bursting through the door to rescue my friends.
In terror, I recount the harrowing encounter to our leader, who first shows fear, then anger.
His reproach cuts deep as he strikes me across the face. Tears streak down my cheeks as I flee into the woods, haunted by the echoes of my name, Cordelia.
Feeling like a failure, I collapse amidst the trees, the pain in my hand spreading through my body like wildfire. Overwhelmed, I succumb to unconsciousness, only to awaken in a nightmare of flames, chained and helpless as fire consumes me my body and soul feeling the betrayal of my society, I thought I could call my family, my pain and fear wake me up from this never-ending nightmare.
I wake up sweaty and tear stained, I find myself back in the woods, my blistered arm a painful reminder of the ordeal.
Following the sound of running water, I reach a waterfall, using a torn piece of clothing to soothe my wounds.
In the distance, voices beckon, their secrets swirling in the breeze.
Intrigued, I venture into a cavern adorned with glittering crystals, each surface reflecting the flickering light.
As I delve deeper, I stumble into an abyss, descending into the unknown.
