It’s a normal night. The moon and star shine through the few clouds there are. The light shines upon the tip of a silencer of a sniper rifle on the roof of a tall building. The person behind the rifle adjusts the sight of the rifle. They are wearing dark clothing. The clothing is a black hoodie, black jeans, and black combat boots. Their face obscured by the hood of the hoodie. Through the sight you can see a woman unzipping a skin tight red dress. The sound of a phone vibrating can be heard against the roof. The dark figure pulls out a phone from their pocket and takes off the hood of the hoodie. You can now see the person’s features in the shine of the screen light. They are a young woman. She has dark brown eyes and long wavy dark almost black hair. She sighs when she recognizes the number. She hooks up her bluetooth earpiece and hits the answer button.
“Michael, why are you calling me,” She asks as she gets back into place for her shot.
Sarah, I’m opening the camp back up,” Michael answers and Sarah freezes for a second. Then gets back on her target. The woman is now just in her bra and underwear.
“Why are you opening that place after what happened,” She asks as she takes her shot. The girl now falls to the floor.
“I know what happened but it did help a lot of kids. It helped you,” He answers with a sigh.
“Helped me?! I was tortured there,” She slightly growls out as she puts her rifle away.
“I know he tortured you a lot back then but it’ll be harder this time. You’re stronger and you can fight back,” He comments and she chuckles slightly.
“Sounds like you want me to come back,” She comments while putting the packed up rifle on her shoulder.
“I want to be a counselor,” He says hopefully.
“Why,” She asks with venom dripping in her voice. She leaves her little perch without looking back.
“You know what happened. The others don’t know anything of the curse or of what happened,” He answers quickly, still slightly hopeful.
“Will I be paid for this,” She asks as she enters the elevator and hits the button to go down to the garage.
“I can pay your normal rate,” He answers with a sigh. She gives a small chuckle.
“Make it double and you got a deal,” She says as the elevator opens. She walks out across the garage and up to her car. She puts the rifle into her trunk as the sound of police sirens can be heard getting closer.
“Fine, double. You will be handling the trouble cases though, ok,” He says after some time and with a tired tone.
“Alright. See you soon,” She says as she hangs up, “Back to Camp Loch Dobh. Let’s hope it doesn’t turn into what happened years ago.”
She gets into her car and starts it up. She drives out of the garage and through the city to a towering complex. She pulls up to a closed garage door. She scans her bracelet and the door rolls up. She pulls into an underground garage. She pulls into a free parking spot. She gets out and locks it. She walks across the garage and to an elevator. She pushes the button to go up and the doors open shortly after. She steps in and hears the elevator music softly playing in the background as she pushes the button for the top floor. The elevator starts to slowly move up through the floors. It opens when it reaches the top floor and she steps out. She walks down the extravagant hallways. She looks at the various paintings and various plants that line it. She stops at a door with the number 1413 on it. She gently opens the door and heads inside. She closes and locks the door behind her. She goes to the kitchen and grabs a bottle of water from the fridge. She opens it as she walks into the living room. She sits down on the couch and turns on the television. The news comes on.
“Tonight a woman connected with the japanese yakuza was shot by the Black Heart sniper,” The woman announcer says and Sarah’s dings. She looks at her phone and it shows a notification from her back that a deposit went through. She smirks and continues to watch the news.
“We know it is the Black Heart sniper because of the bullet used. The bullet used has a heart that is colored black carved into it. The bullets were found with every victim,” The woman continues to say.
“At least they haven’t figured out that the heart is a capsule,” Sarah comments with a slight chuckle.
“At this moment the police department has no leads on who the Black Heart sniper is,” The announcer says, “If anyone has any information on who it might be to please contact the police.”
“Like anyone would suspect that little old me would be the shooter. I’m a law abiding citizen that was traumatized by a summer camp. Then got rich from it,” She mumbles sarcastically as she gets up from the couch. She heads to her and grabs her travel bags. 1 large bag, 1 medium bag, and 1 handbag that is slightly bigger than a purse. She packs 3 months worth of clothes, her bikini, flip flops, sneakers, 2 containers of sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, toiletries, a towel, a bag, her wallet, a blanket, a pillow, a sheet, 2 containers of bug repellant, earphones, a book, snacks, water, and self protection. Once she finishes packing she grabs the bags and goes back into the living room. She turns the television off. Then carries the bags out the door. She closes and locks the door behind her. Then she heads to the elevator with her bags in hand. She takes the elevator back down to her car. She crosses the garage and carefully puts the large and medium bag in the trunk. She gets in and sets the hand bag down in the passenger seat. She pulls out of the parking spot and up to the rolled down door. She scans her bracelet again and it rolls up. She leaves the underground garage. She then makes the long drive back to her old summer camp.
She watches the cities pass by and the night turns to day. She grabs her sunglasses from her bag and slips them on and not long after the cities turn into country sides and forests. Soon after hours of driving for hours along the country sides and forests she can see the sign for the camp. She sighs as she pulls into the camp. She parks off in the far corner. She steps out of her car and Michael walks up to greet her. He has a big bright smile on his face as he does. She frowns deeply.
“This place Michael,” She comments quietly.
“I know,” He sighs as he pats her on the shoulder.
“You’re lucky I’m here,” She comments quietly.
“I know but we need someone that knows how to deal with the curse,” He says with a smile.
“Like you,” She says as if hinting at something. He chuckles and smirks.
“You’ll be a counselor with Lake, who is my adopted child. There is also Cree and Ariel,” He says while looking at the lake.
“They’re all new to this place,” She comments as she takes her sunglasses off. She then looks out at the pitch black surface of the lake.
