It was a cold night and Ava walked down the streets She thought she knew the place before. She was on her way home from a party and was too tired to walk straight. She stumbled past the corner where she used to sit at and draw... she felt nothing. Suddenly, she saw the only store open in the middle of the night, it felt like it came from nowhere. She had never seen this store before.
But when she got closer, she realized it was exactly what she needed, a candy shop. Ava had never seen this shop before, but of course, she didn't care, she needed something sweet. She entered the shop and to her surprise, it was empty. All of her senses screamed at her to not come in.
Only the joyful employee with his pink and white striped shirt, his funny pinkish hat, and a huge smile filled the room. She waved at him, uncomfortable by his big smile. She got a weird feeling but she was craving some candy.
As she slowly walked towards the candy shelf she noticed the employee wasn’t moving. He only moved his head to look at her, then moved sharply towards a shelf with pink and white striped candy and gently picked it up and gestured for her to take it. She was very frightened and she froze. The employee tilted his hand and pushed the candy towards her, that’s when she noticed his claw-like hands.
Ava took the candy without thinking and unwrapped it, It smelled like vanilla and sweet strawberry ice cream, as she was about to eat the candy she noticed the employee’s eyes growing bigger, and out of pure fear she ate the candy. It was so sweet and delicious, It was magical! The strawberry wasn't too vibrant and the vanilla was just perfect, they mixed so well together she felt like she was flying.
That magical moment was interrupted when the Employee moved sharply like he does, and took a plastic bag and got his hand in the pile of candy and grabbed some, he put the candy in the bag and gave it to her, holding his other hand out for money, she put a 20 dollar bill in his hand, though she didn’t know the price. She got out of the store and she didn’t think about the creepy employee because the taste of the candy was so great.
