Aconholt is an ancient forest, shrouded in myth and legend, dangerous in many ways. Poisonous flora, ravenous fauna, deadly monsters, and angry spirits are said to make their home in the unfathomable tangle of vegetation. This dangerous wood is nestled fairly safely away between the spire-like mountain ranges that corral it from the west, to the north and all the way to the east. To the south of Aconholt lies the vigilant town of Palenwood, once a bustling trade post in centuries past, the outpost is now the last line of defense against the malignant beings that attempt to make their way out of the accursed forest. People in Palenwood know how to survive in this dangerous place, you simply don't go into the woods.
