The year is 2026-the LONG way. Humanity has long since abandoned its original neighborhood, slingshot to far off systems with dreams of colonizing utopias.
Why? You may ask.
It may be because of the Rapture, when the Sun woke up and consumed the Earth in a solar flare. When all those inhabitants on the cities of Mars and Jupiter's moons and the terraforming projects beyond watched through incredible telescopes as Angels became real and the inhabitants of Earth floated into the Aether.
Witnessing that is enough to make most sapient species really wanna get the fuck out of dodge.
Of course, our dear home is not vacant.
Supernatural squatters abound!
And of those squatters, is a merry band of resurrected idiots, being propelled into missions by the whims of a ancient superintelligence (self-proclaimed girlboss) to scour the rotting whale bones of the solar system for strange and powerful artifacts.
Also there's Robot Chingis Khan.
