Description

After a teenage fisher boy named Valerio is made into a war orphan, he knows that now there is only one way he can be at peace: through bloodshed.

Now a squire training to become one of the legendary knights history immortalizes, Valerio will have to reconcile his past with his future, as well as learn to harness a dangerous new gift that could turn the tide of the war in his homeland's favor, as shaky as the alliance between its six nations is.

But war takes even more than just innocent lives, and even if he makes it out of this one alive, there's a chance he'll have lost something even more important than his life; he'll have lost his humanity as well.
