Maddie lives in a town where ghosts are normal. She doesn’t mind it. She grew up this way, after all. In this town, all the ghosts were very drab. They were just always so… dull. But one day, while walking through town, Maddie notices a ghost different from the rest. It is colorful, instead of muted. Happy, instead of gloomy. She learns to love this little ghost, and they become the best of friends. But when her parents find out, they try to pull the two apart, for befriending a ghost is highly frowned upon. In the past, ghosts have hurt children. Not literally, but in the sense that they make the children think that they are friendly, and then leave them when they need the ghosts most. They hurt them, by using them. But this ghost is different. Maddie knows it’s different. It has to be.
