The clicks and beeps of hospital equipment soothed Delilah as she woke up panicked. She didn't know where she was, why she was there, and why she wasn't wear her own clothing. Delilah looked down to find a hospital gown instead of her usual jeans and tee-shirt. She tried to sit up, to find excruciating pain, starting from the right side of her chest, all the way down to her left hip. After teen whole minutes, she had enough strength to sit up and get out of the bed. She tried to walk toward the door to find herself restrained by an IV tube. She ripped it out. After which, she proceeded to climb fourteen floors to the roof. By taking the stairs.
When Delilah finally made it up the stairs, she stood by the edge of the rooftop. That's when she remembered why she was in the hospital. Her boyfriend, the fight, the knife...Delilah was so shocked by the sudden upbringing of the memories, and why they occurred on the rooftop, she fell.
Suddenly, her shoulder blades hurt, she thought it was from the rush of gravity pulling her down, but she was wrong. She only fell about four stories. Then she glided. She wanted to go up, and so her body obeyed. Delilah flew up until she could see the sun above the clouds. She realized that this wasn't a dream. In that moment, Delilah discovered something. That she could fly.
