North Valle is a peculiar type of mage, one whose dreams create worlds and pathways. Dreamers are few and far between, not because the gift is rare but because the gift comes with a debilitating disease. One that entices a Dreamer to sleep and never, ever, wake up.
North’s life has been given to finding a cure for this disease, sacrificing everything else. And when a friend’s sister falls ill, with the cure being just out of reach, she sacrifices even more to find it. And in her haste, she steps on the toes of a rather powerful god.
The cure dangles just out of reach. It is a smile in smoke. Laughter in the distance—
