My tears rolled down my scrunched face, crashing to the floor as the winged woman turned around, facing away from me and aiming her head up to the sky.
“I never wanted you to be hurt by me, I never wanted you gone, but it is best for you- no, for our family that I stay away. I have hurt you already, I can’t hurt you anymore. Goodbye Caiden”
Her words echoed in my ears as she leapt upward, her large falcon wings extending and launching her high into the sky at rapid pace, my clothes and hair whipping in the wind caused by them as her form soared higher and higher until she disappeared into the starry night, once again, vanishing from my life- like everyone else had done. I felt the tears return, burning down my face as my vision started growing blurry, before I collapsed onto the ground, my hands clutched around the necklace she had given me so long ago. I wailed into the night sky, all of my pain and loneliness echoing throughout the quiet streets before getting lost in the sky and around all buildings. I was alone again, with no one to wipe my tears away.
