It’s the year 2070, 10 years since The Great War. A intergalactic war fought in between the human race and the Vempit, a alien race of serpentine looking humanoid creatures, capable of turning themselves into large grotesque lizards. Just as it seemed like humanity was doomed, the saviors of the race stepped up. A group now known as the 6 progenitors popped up from the 6 corners of the world, introducing a never before seen power to the world. Contracts.
Contracts were bonds of power, forged in between an entity of higher being, and the person of their choosing, now known as The Chosen. With the power of their contractors, humanity counterattacked, and they didn’t stop until they had driven the Vempit completely out of their galaxy.
However, with power comes greed. And in a short 5 years after the great war, another conflict had raised. A civil war, which most consider to have been one large free for all in between the citizens of the world. The conflict was only stopped once the 6 progenitors, and a new up and coming force, the global military, united. Forming an organization known as the high table, an organization acting as a world government, ruling over the world to make sure no further conflicts should arise.
With the discovery of new technology, humanity was led to their next greatest accomplishment. Intergalactic travel. Now having the capability, humans were instantly everywhere they could think of in the universe. Then another key discovery was made, Mana.
Mana, a source of magic and power, one that can be obtained without the need for a contractor, was a blessing to all those that were deemed weak by society.
Now with two major sources of power being available, hundreds of factions began to pop up all over the world, each with their own ideals.
But the ruling forces managed to suppress all those that attempted to rise. Or did they?
Now our story follows the life and journey of Damon Ewell, a cowardly and quiet orphan, who’s only goal is to find his parents and live a calm life.
That is until his entire life is turned upside down.
