Her elemental magic is umbra - users of this element can control shadows by the line of sight, so if the line of sight is broken, the shadows will go back to where they first came from, Also, they have a limited amount of shadows they can control.

weaknesses:

 If she is blinded, then her magic is useless because it works with sight If she uses it until she reaches 1hr her vision starts to fade slowly and when she goes over the time limit, she goes blind for 2 days

David is quite protective of Skyler because she’s his dead friend's child and he also knows that she is an adult. He is kind to his students but also strict.  he has many secrets so he has a mysterious aura about him when people meet him

He needs time to draw, and he can only draw on dirt, not other solid objects or liquids. His body is stiffer due to his age.
