Born in the vaults, Zelda discovers sensitive information about the outside world, that her and Link are reincarnations that are born to save the world from evil. She leaves the vault in search for information and to save the world on her own, as Link and everyone else in the vault is forced in cryo sleep instead. Waking up from cryo 5 years later, (early due to a malfunction), Link leaves the vault to find Zelda. By retracing her steps, Link discovers the new world, follows in Zelda's personal quest to purify the land, makes way too many friends and enemies, and learns everything about the nuclear apocalypse that they are living in now, that the one and only Ganon created.
