It was dark. I tried to open my eyes, but they felt like a ton of bricks were laid on them. My hurting stomach, growled in a low voice to feed it. I forced my eyes to open, and I looked around with blurred vision.

With my vision focusing I could start to make out that furniture and medical equipment were tossed all around the room, and green plants flourished along the walls and the floor. “What the hell…”

I struggled and turned and attempted to get up but soon realized I was attached to an IV drip and a monitor. I pulled away from them being slightly freaked out but found them to be pulled closer with every movement.

I ripped off the plastic tubing and began to brace myself, I sat up with my legs hanging off the edge of the bed and pushed off. “Whoa- WhOA-!” My failed attempt to stand ended with me on the floor.

I glanced down and my legs were weak and looked like twigs, for just how long have I been out? I practice walking around for what felt like days, but it’s more accurate to say that it’s been less than 30 painful minutes.

I started roaming the room and tried to figure out how I had ended up in this strange place. I smacked both my hands against my face in an attempt to wake up. “Okay so this isn’t a dream… think, what’s the last thing that I remember.”

The memory was hazy, but I could still make out some of the details, I was in my room, there were pill containers everywhere, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I looked like I just walked out of a horror scene, ragged and afraid. I grabbed a pill container and I tipped it into my mouth. That’s when I realized why I was here, “Dang so I really did go through with the plan.”
