For skeptical historian Lia Vance and brilliant physicist Marcus Chen, the ancient text is a beacon. It transmits frequencies that wake dormant evolutionary consciousness, selecting them and six other students (The Seven Frequencies) for an irreversible transformation.
But studying the forbidden knowledge attracts the things that guard the boundaries of reality: the hostile Daemons (beings of smokeless fire) and the personalized, psychological torment of the Doppelgangers. When their professor vanishes, the Seven are forced into the university’s hidden catacombs, realizing the "invasion" is a devastating Exodus.
34,000 refugees from a collapsing parallel dimension are seeking asylum, fleeing a terrifying cosmic entity known as The Consumption—a conscious impulse that dissolves dimensions into formless rest.
The stakes are absolute: Lia and the Seven must risk their minds and identities to merge consciousness with the refugees, pioneering the Hybrid Awareness that will create a new human species.
