In The Mawl, a land where predators and prey navigate an uneasy balance, the ancient magic that binds the natural world is beginning to unravel. Predators and Prey have started to vanish without a trace, leaving the ecosystem teetering on the brink of chaos. The Society of Volatile Magic and Affairs (S.V.M.A.), a secretive organization charged with regulating the realm's dangerous arcane forces, is called in to investigate.

Tame, a young owl investigator and loyal member of S.V.M.A., is tasked with solving the mystery. But to do so, he must seek out the one creature who might have the power to help—Frankenstein McPants, an eccentric, lazy, and reluctant participant in the magical world.

In a land where survival is already a struggle, something far more terrifying lurks in the shadows—and not everything is as it seems.
