Heathrow, the second-most busiest international airport in the United Kingdom. It wasn’t as crowded as it usually is, but there the crowds were, waiting for their respective flights. As such, there are multiple stalls inside the boarding area to keep the onboarding passengers busy.

In fact, during this rather early break of dawn, a slender young woman with fair skin and braided blonde hair was standing in front of a croquette stand. From what possible onlookers can assume, she must be hungry. 

She wore a jacket which looked like a mix of a suit and a trench coat, if those exist. Her eyes were so captivating, any man could be mesmerized by just her eye expression. She looked to be around her early 20s, so from what can be assumed, she could be your typical rich British bimbo.

A man accidentally bumped into her as he tripped. She fell down.

Frantically, the man asks, “Are you alright?”

But the woman, chuckling, brushed it aside and smiled at him.

“I’m fine, thank you for the concern.”

The man, who previously thought she was a rich British bimbo, rescinded his earlier thoughts. He helped her up like a gentleman would, and gave her a notebook which fell. She is wonderful in and out, the man thought as he rushed to the other side of Heathrow.

Around the same time, the shoptender has finished preparing her food. “Here are your croquettes, dear.”

Attention: The boarding for this flight, bound for Tokyo, will begin in five minutes.

When the young woman holding the croquette heard the PA, she immediately thanked the tender of the shop and jolted off to the boarding.

After she had finished the croquettes, and boarded the plane, she took out her notebook and started writing. 

January 3rd...

Looking outside the window before take off, she smiled sentimentally and looked down at the picture protruding out of the notebook and proceeded to take it out.

The photo, aged due to the natural sepia tone, was of two women, wrinkled, alongside a young man who looked to be her age; all who appeared cheerful. The back of the photo contained a short letter. It read:

To my dearest granddaughter, if you want to know more about my stories, come visit my friend. She will tell you everything.

She wrote the very words into her notebook, put the photo inside the pages, and placed the notebook back in her bag.

Thus starts the journey to piece the stories that her grandmother left behind, and the person to finally bridge them all in one line: Teresa Darlington.
