Emerald held the pregnancy test in his hands, shocked
"After twelve boys, I'm pregnant once again," he said quietly.
Emerald quickly hid the pregnancy test and washed up. Once he was done, his three husbands enter the master bedroom
"Are you alright, Emerald?" Sapphire asked
"I'm fine. I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning," Emerald sighed
"Why do you say that, darling?" Amethyst asked
"I feel crook..." Emerald said as he looked at his husbands
"Are you not feeling well, Emerald?" Garnet asked
"Not really," Emerald replied.
He was nervous. He didn't want to tell his husbands straight away that he was pregnant again, especially not after having TWELVE BOYS, one after the other.
Emerald sighs
"Maybe I just need a cup of tea," he said and headed to the kitchen.
Sapphire, Amethyst and Garnet exchange looks and follow Emerald, worried about their husband.
Emerald was found sitting at the kitchen table, with a mug of green apple tea. He smiles seeing flocks of all kinds of birds flying outside.
The three males sit with their husband. Emerald looks at his husbands
"Are you sure you're feeling okay, Emerald?" Sapphire asked.
Without another word, knowing he can't hide anymore, Emerald got the pregnancy test out and put it on the table.
Emerald's husbands' eyes widen seeing it was a positive pregnancy test
"Emerald, you can't possibly be pregnant again," Garnet said softly
"Well, I am. And the test doesn't necessarily lie, does it?" Emerald asked, irritable.
The three look at the pregnancy test again
"We need to get you a blood pregnancy test, Emerald. We need to know whether this is a lie or the truth," Amethyst said.
Emerald finished his tea and got up. He got the pregnancy test and put it away. His husbands stood up too. The four went to the hospital. When they enter, Doctor Lance and his partner, Doctor Harrison approached
"Hello, fellas. What brings you here?" Doctor Lance asked
"Apparently, I need to get a blood pregnancy test. My husbands don't believe I'm pregnant again," Emerald said merely
"Did you take a pregnancy test, Emerald?" Doctor Harrison asked.
Emerald only nods, gets it out and handed it to the two doctors. Doctor Lance took it and he and Doctor Harrison look at it
"It shows it's positive. To be sure, of course, we shall get you to take a blood pregnancy test. Come through you four," Doctor Harrison said.
The group get to the testing room. Emerald was laid down on a hospital bed and was relaxed before he had blood taken out. Once the doctors had enough blood, they stop the flow and bandage the spot where Emerald had blood taken.
Emerald stared at the ceiling as his husbands stood with him, looking at him
"You better apologise if it comes back saying I'm carrying another baby. If not, I'm going to stay with my mother." Emerald said bitterly.
The three only comfort Emerald, showing they're true to their word.
Eventually, the doctors came back with the results
"Emerald Southwell, you are indeed pregnant again. For the thirteenth time," Doctor Harrison grins.
Emerald didn't know whether to be happy, anxious or irritated. However, he truly was happy, so it showed
"That's amazing, doctors! Thank you, our doubts have finally been cleared," he said softly.
The doctors nod. After, the four husbands leave the hospital. Emerald sighs a little
"Well, we're having another baby. I don't think we need another though, but I'm not ending this baby's life," he said honestly
"Of course not. And Emerald, we're sorry for doubting you. Of course, it's such amazing news to hear we're having another baby, but because we already have twelve, it's been a bit of a shock too," Sapphire apologised on behalf of himself, Amethyst and Garnet.
Emerald felt his lips split into a grin
"I forgive you guys. Of course, I was shocked as well. Considering we have twelve boys. But, the exciting thing is, what if this baby was a girl? We'd have our very own Southwell Princess," he said happily
"Yes! It'd be amazing to have our very own Princess! Our very own little girl," Sapphire said softly.
The husbands get home and their sons approached
"What's up, guys?" Garnet asked
"Is everything alright?" Jake asked
"Well, you guys, are going to have another sibling," Emerald announced nervously.
The brothers all grin
"Awesome!" They cheer.
The four husbands chuckle.
The family head off to the lounge room and settle there
"What do you guys think the baby will be? A girl or another boy?" Marcus asked
"Hopefully, it'll be a beautiful girl. So, we could all call her our little Princess," Sapphire grins
"Awww, yes! It'd be awesome if we had a little girl," Henry grins.
This had Emerald grinning happily
"I am glad. I was worried that the news of another baby would've caused an uproar. We already are a big family, and having it even bigger, I was worried that we'd argue about the baby," he said with a sigh of relief
"Hey, dad, we're so happy that we've got another sibling on the way. We're like a massive team. We love it. To have another sibling to join us in nine months is like another teammate. We cannot wait for this little one. Please, do tell us if it's a girl or boy. We'd be pleased with both," Jake smiles happily.
Emerald nods, evidently very happy. As the day went by, Emerald spent it with his husbands and his sons.
There was excited chatter about the new baby on the way. Emerald was happy. Even though this will be his and his family's thirteenth baby, they're always happy to welcome another baby into the family.
But, even when there was excited chatter, Emerald's husbands still weren't overly excited to have another baby. Sighing a little, Emerald ran himself a bath. He got in after putting green apple bath bombs into it.
Sighing, Emerald got into the bath and he sunk into the water a bit, closing his eyes. He felt relieved to have some time to cool off.
However, it was interrupted when knocking sounded on the en-suite
"Emerald love, are you in there?" Sapphire asked
"Yes. Now leave me alone." Emerald spat.
Emerald felt the tears in his eyes as he wrapped an arm around his stomach, remembering, there's a baby in there. Once Emerald was done in the en-suite, he had a shower and got dressed again.
Shaking his head a little, Emerald exits the en-suite. His husbands look at him. Emerald collected some belongings, which worried his husbands
"Emerald, what's wrong? Where are you going?" Amethyst asked
"I need space." Emerald said bluntly
"Space? From us?" Garnet asked quietly
"Yes. With time, you'll figure out why." Emerald said bitterly and left after collecting everything he needed.
Emerald went to where his brothers lived with the brothers of his husbands. When Emerald got there, he knocked. The doors opened
"Emerald? What are you doing here?" Tanzanite asked
"Well, long story short, I'm expecting another baby with my husbands. They're not overly excited about it because we have twelve boys already. I'm not getting rid of this baby, and I need time and space from them," Emerald said.
Tanzanite raises an eyebrow
"Really? Do you have any proof you're pregnant?" He asked
"Not on me. But. I went to the hospital after taking a test. Both came back positive." Emerald said confidently.
Tanzanite shrugs
"Well, we're not having any visitors this week. Go find somewhere else to stay," he said and shut the doors.
Emerald was fuming, as well as upset. He felt the tears in his eyes. He walked away, feeling heartbroken. When Emerald got to the hospital, he entered. Doctor Lance approached
"Emerald? What's up?" He asked.
Emerald explained everything. Doctor Lance was mortified
"I see, well, Doctor Harrison and I have finished our shift, so you can stay with us until you're ready to go back home," he said softly.
Emerald smiles and thanked the doctor. Once the trio were ready, they headed off. Emerald heard his phone ring. He got it out to see Tanzanite calling.
Wanting to hear what the guy had to say, Emerald answered the call.
Bold = Tanzanite
"You can come and stay with us, Emerald."
"You told me you weren't having visitors." Emerald said bluntly
"I had to consult your brothers. Rightfully, they were pissed at me for rejecting you. So, come stay with us,"
"No." Emerald said merely and ended the call.
Emerald puts his phone away and he sighs, trying to hold back the tears
"Why don't you stay with your brothers, Emerald? Tonight was supposed to be Harrison's and my date night tonight," Lance asked.
Emerald stopped walking. He shakes his head and turned around and went the other direction. He didn't want to go home. He didn't want to see his brothers. He was bitter towards Lance and Harrison.
Now, Emerald didn't know where to go. He clutches his hands into fists and continued to walk away. He eventually found a safe tree and sat down underneath it. He got curled up and got comfortable.
With tears racing down his cheeks, Emerald closed his eyes. Morning arrived, and Emerald awoke. He found himself in a bed. In a house. Sitting up, Emerald looks around.
He got out of bed. He was still in his clothes. Still had everything he took with him. Emerald approached the wall and smashed his forehead against it, feeling the pain hit him and his head.
With tears in his eyes, Emerald was sick and tired of being the one at fault. He wraps his arms around his stomach, knowing there's a little baby in his stomach that needs him.
Dropping to his knees, feeling something warm and thick running from his head, Emerald closed his eyes, curling up on the floor. He eventually gets up and left the mansion.
Looking around, Emerald realised he was in the house of his brothers and the brothers of his husbands. Emerald felt bitter. He walked around, not caring that his head was bleeding.
Someone stopped Emerald
"Oh, my God, Emerald, did you hit your head?" A familiar voice asked.
Emerald looks up to see Mason. With tears in his eyes, Emerald grip-hugged Mason. Mason hugs Emerald back
"Come, let's go to Alnara," he said softly.
As the two pull away from their embrace, footsteps stop
"Emerald...?" Sapphire says carefully.
Emerald looks at his husbands. But, he immediately looked away
"Come on, Mason... let's go..." he mumbled.
Mason nods and wraps an arm around Emerald and the two walk off. Sneakily, Emerald's husbands follow. Emerald was a distraughted mess. Mason held Emerald close, wanting to comfort him.
When the two got to Alnara, Emerald was moved in. He stayed with Sakura and Ren, as the two were not only doctors, but they were closest with Emerald.
As night fell across Alnara, Emerald laid in bed, staring at the ceiling. He felt the tears in his eyes
"Emerald?" Sakura said softly.
Emerald looks at Sakura, who entered and shut the doors. Sakura approached and got into bed with Emerald. He laid down beside Emerald
"I heard you're having another baby," Sakura smiles, looking at Emerald.
Emerald looks at the ceiling again, tears now running
"Yeah..." he whispered
"Did something happen, Emerald? You were always so happy to have children. Did you and your husbands have some sort of disagreement?" Sakura asked
"Well, they're not necessarily looking forward to having another baby because we have twelve sons," Emerald mumbles
"I see," Sakura hums.
Emerald sits up and he curls up, not wanting Sakura to see he was crying. Sakura sits up and gently pulled Emerald close and held him close
"We support you. To have another baby, is very brave of you. Considering, this is your thirteenth child. What do you wish for, Emerald? A girl or boy?" Sakura asked
"A beautiful baby girl... I hope I can have a little Princess of my own..." Emerald smiles a little, wiping tears away
"Awwww, that'd be awesome. Hey, as you know, Ren and I are doctors. If you ever need us, let us know, okay? We'll do everything we can for you," Sakura nods.
Emerald nods too. Sakura stayed with Emerald and kept him comforted. The two fell asleep. When morning arrived, Emerald awoke in the same bed he fell asleep in with Sakura next to him.
Smiling, Emerald yawns and stretches. He carefully sits up and gets out of bed. He went into the en-suite and had a shower. Looking at his stomach, Emerald smiles, seeing a tiny bump starting to appear.
Three months pass. Emerald's now three months pregnant. The bump's visible, and Emerald's stayed in Alnara, as he knows, he needs a break, and doesn't need conflict.
Emerald was currently relaxing in the lounge room. Not only were Sakura and Ren doctors, but they are also qualified massage therapists. Ren gave Emerald a soothing and deeply massaging massage on his back.
Due to the relaxation, and the gentle music playing as well, Emerald was falling asleep. His body was supported, his belly especially as the baby bump's come through.
Once Ren was done, he traced his fingers on Emerald's back, signalling he was done
"That was amazing, Ren. Thank you very much," Emerald smiles, awakening again
"My pleasure, Emerald. Truly. I hope you feel relaxed, considering this morning," Ren said softly
"Yes. I feel so much better. Thank you. Indeed, this morning was rough," Emerald sighs.
That morning, Emerald's husbands found him and came and visited him. Arguments happened, and Emerald has some lawyers working on divorce papers.
This wasn't how Emerald wanted his marriage to end. He sighs, coming back to reality
"What's most important, is the baby in my stomach. This baby, is the most precious thing to me. Hopefully, it's a girl, I'd love to have my very own little Princess," Emerald said softly.
That night, Emerald was out for a walk. He had his hands in his jacket pockets. He was still harrowed by what happened that morning.
Emerald eventually stops walking, feeling eyes on him. His eyes widen seeing his twelve sons. They group together approach Emerald
"Dad... are you okay?" Jake asked carefully.
Emerald tried to hold the tears back. He smiles a little and nods
"I'm fine, thank you. How come you lads are here? Won't your fathers be worried?" He asked
"You're the one who gave us our lives, Emerald. You carried us and you gave us our lives. The others may have played a part in making us who we are, but you did the work, Emerald. We're worried about you, just like how you worry about us," Marcus smiles.
Emerald felt happy
"Where are you living, dad?" Henry asked
"With Sakura and Ren. Are you lads planning on staying here?" Emerald asked
"We're going to do everything we can to help you with our sibling who is inside you, Emerald. Never forget, we're here," Henry grins.
Emerald couldn't help but smile. He moved his sons in with Sakura, Ren and him. The two males got to meet Emerald's twelve boys. They told Sakura and Ren the reason why they're in Alnara.
Sakura and Ren grin, appreciative of Emerald's sons.
As it grew late, everyone went to bed. But, Emerald was still awake, sitting up in bed. Henry quietly opens the doors, enters, and shuts the doors.
Henry approached Emerald and got into bed with him. Emerald looks at Henry and gently strokes his hair, which caused Henry to smile and fall asleep.
Looking outside, Emerald saw a shooting star. He smiles, and made a wish. Then, he laid down, got comforable, and fell asleep, Henry beside him.
