"Now do it again!" The instructor yelled into the air. I sigh running and touching the nasty dusty floor of the gym before swiveling back to only repeat the process. I empty my mind letting my body do it by muscle memory at this point hoping the A hole didn't say anything to me. I hear a sharp whistle and stop gasping for air as others walked off.
"Mei! Hurry up and get to the showers!" I turn and look as his smirk curls up looking at me from the side of the court. He knew I was going to fail and he was enjoying seeing me struggle. Well what did I expect I am far from the best out there and never will be.
"It's Rose! It is Rose Sir!" I yell back my heaving shoulders slowing down as I stand up wiping my brow of sweat. The man seemed unfazed by my verbal retaliation. I puff my red strand of hair out of my eyes thinking about the up coming test. I shake my body out not letting my mind dwell on that. I had to worry about Father right now. He will kill me if I am late for my chores again because of these pricks. I take off not caring about if he was looking at me as I jogged away. I slip into the locker room washing off the grime of the day looking around for any of the other girls. I wasn't in the mood to deal with there taunting today in the least bit. I grab my towel and feel around outside of my shower as my stomach dropped. They took my clothes again; just great. I step out of the curtained shower looking around the lockers wondering where they hid them this time. I searched for a good thirty minutes but I couldn't find them only my nasty gym ones. I sighed rubbing my face up and down trying to wrap my head around how this was funny. I slipped on the joggers and t shirt heading to the old rusty blue doors. No sooner had I opened the door am I slammed in the face with cold icy water from the creatures above. I hear screeches and giggles as they scampered away from me. I stood perfectly still not shivering nor crying just stood there for a minute as their footsteps fade away. I breath in deeply and think about getting home. Pulling my book bag closer to my back I exit the tunnel and head for the bus that would take me home. I slung myself into the blue crumpy seats as the bus driver yells at me about the dripping water. I just blankly look up at her making her finally walk back to the front and take off. We follow the huge metal wall as we headed to all the children's home. I always was warned to never ever talk about the silver wall or else but that never stopped me from wondering in my mind. Why did it end up this way? When did the walls get shoved up? Of course in school we were taught that the walls protected us from the radiation from the after math of the Dyiu battle but nothing more. Yeah right, after all if it was just up for that reason they wouldn't have used such a metal like silver. No they would have been smarter and used high-Z foam instead. Thing is, I am the only one smart enough to even notice such a rookie mistake that or I am smarter then the government ,which, I highly doubt. More likely after the agreement was sign the government went a little on the cheap side with protection from the harmful rays. Oh well, not my problem in the least bit I thought as I hopped up to get off on my road. The bus pulled off kicking up dust right into my face making me wondered if the bus driver was out to freaking get me to. I shook off as the dust that had now turned into mud on my soaked clothes. I start the mile walk home trying to shake off the dirt and dry off before I made it home.
