“Come on Kate we’re leaving!” Kate’s mom called from downstairs.

“I’m coming!” Kate called as she ran down the stairs and into the car.

“About time.” Her dad said as she buckled her seatbelt.

After a few minutes they were on the road, her dad singing along to some song. Her mom seemed to get fed up with this and turned it off.

“Why don’t you tell Kate what we’re gonna be doing.” she told him.

”ok well, there's fishing, hiking roasting marshmallows and who knows we may even see a wolf.” Her dad told her.

” won't this just be so fun.” Kate’s mom added.

After around forty minutes they got to the camping spot.

”don't go to far now.” her dad warned her as he set up the tent.

”ok I won't.” kate said before wandering off.

After wondering around for a bit kate realized with dread that she was lost.

*crack*

A stick snapped behind her.

Kate turned and screamed when she saw a wolf standing there.

She slowly started to back away.

”do you wanna play?” the wolf asked, it sounded like a puppy.

”huh?” kate asked confused and in shock,

”i said, do you wanna play?” the wolf asked again.

”well...uhhh...err I'm sorta lost. I'd really love to play but I have to find my Way back now, ” she said worridly.

”pleaseeeee.” the wolf Begged. ”I’ll help find your way back if you play with me.”

”fine.” kate sighed.

”really?...yahhh I finally have somebody to play with!” the wolf said happily bounding around her. 

”but only if you promise to help me get back.” kate said.

”oh yes I do promise.” the wolf said.

”o-ok” she said.

The wolf ran up behind Kate, crawled under her and stood up so she was on his back.

”Hold on.” he told her.

kate did as she was told, wrapping her arms around his neck, and with that he took off running.

After a few minutes the wolf stopped running and sat down causing her to slide down her back.

”where are we?” kate asked.

”my favourite place.” he said.

They were sitting on a cliff over looking the lake.

”whoah.” she gasped.

”its cool right?”  The wolf asked.

”yeah.” kate said. ”so what's your name?”

”Grayson.” Grayson said. ”whats yours?”

”oh my name’s kate.” kate said.

After a bit Grayson took kate back to her campsite.
