My mom kept trying to over power my dad with shouting louder. I passed by my brother's room and then the dim lit bathroom. When my dad caught a glance of me and made eye contact, he stopped speaking. He really thinks that I just didn't hear all of the unnecessary yelling. I am not a child. You'd be surprised at the things I know. Then he made this weird face to my mom. Mom said, "good night sweetie, and sweet dreams". Dad just stood there and nodded in agreement with mom. I did a thumbs up and said likewise, which was more directed to mom and then I left the kitchen. Once I was up the stairs, I overheard some really hurtful words like 'it's all of your fault' and 'I knew I should've left when I had the chance'.
