'Veronica can you make me a hot chocolate. I am feeling really cold'

'Yeah sure '

'Aunt isn't it too late' I asked her

'yes honey I wonder where your parents are. I am going to my room call me if you need anything' 

Just then the phone rang and I got up to pick it up. 

'Hello'

'Hello is this miss James talking'

'no I am her niece'

'can you give the phone to her'.

'Hold on a second' 

'Aunt' I shouted 'its a call for you' 

My aunt came and picked up the phone. I don't know to whom she was taking but she was cleary not looking happy. 

'Who was on the phone'

I asked her but she didn't replied me. 'What did she talked about' I asked myself. She then suddenly came to me and said 

'Just pray everything will be fine' 

what was she talking about. Pray for what and what was wrong. She was really confusing me. After changing her dress she came out of her room

'Aunt what's wrong please tell me' 

'Nothing honey just don't be worried everything will be fine' 

'John lock the doors' 

She kissed me on the cheek before going out. After locking the doors John came to me. 

'What happened? Why was she in a hurry?'

'I don't know. She just told me to pray and everything will be fine' 

'I hope nothing bad had happened' 

'yeah' 

After some time my uncle came and he was looking really worried. I don't know what was going on but something was fishy. 

'kids we are going to the hospital' 

'but what happened' 

'I'll tell you when we get there' 

Then he took my, Ben, and my cousin Emma hand and went towards the car. The drive was not long it was just about 10 - 20 minutes. We approached the hospital. My uncle called my aunt and then he took us to the third floor. 

'do you see your aunt anywhere' 

'there she is' I pointed out. 

'come on let's go' 

He took us to our aunt. Both of them looked extremely worried. 

'what do you think have happened' John asked

'I have no Idea but I am sure something is not right' Emma replied

After some time the doctor came. He looked at my aunt with a serious look, shook his head and said 

'sorry we couldn't save him we tried our best' 

't-this can't be something must be wrong' 

'what a-about my sister. Did u got any information. Where is she?' 

'we still got no information regarding her. But we will inform you as soon as we know' 

Saying that the doctor walked away. Leaving my aunt and uncle in a critical situation. I still had no idea what was going on. 

'no no this cant be. It must be a lie no nooo' my aunt started crying loudly. My uncle hugged her tightly l. While my heartbeat was getting faster and faster '' What did she meant by that. Who did she lost. Who was that man she was crying for and why did she bought us here.'' I looked around and all of them were as confused as I was. 

'aunt what happened. PLEASE TELL ME' I cried shouting

Just like before she didn't replied to me. Just then my uncle came and sat in a Yankee sitting style and said 

'look I need to tell you something but for that you have to be brave okay. Are you a  brave girl'. 

We looked at him and nodded.  

'your parents..........they are dead' he started crying 'they are no longer in this world' 

My aunt looked at him shocked. My sister holded my hand tightly. Ben was just a little boy he didn't understood anything. 

'they are no longer in this world' 

I said as I looked at my sister and my uncle. I felt like the world beneath me had crashed and I have into a dark hole. The word THEY DIED repeated in my mind again and again suddenly everything went black and I fell on the floor next thing I remember I was lying in my bed with everyone all around me. 

The feeling that I couldn't see my mom and dad again made me scared. My uncle must be kidding with me at that time right but no he was not. I started shouting 

'where's my mom, aunt please tell me where is my mom,  Dad' I cried 

My aunt hugged me tight and soon I slept crying in her arms. Life was like being in a jail. My everything was taken away from me. Everything happened so suddenly that I thought I will die. The love of a mom and dad was taken away from me and my siblings. The next 6 years were super Difficult. I was mostly sick all the time. 

My aunt would try her best to make me forget everything. But it's not that easy. She tried her best but could never love me the way my mother did....

                                                  AFTER 8 YEARS

I was walking through the empty hallway. A tiny light was coming trough a when that was extremely small. The light became brighter and brighter that I couldn't see anything when I opened my eyes I was standing in a glass box that was filling with water. The water reached the top and I couldn't breath. My eyes started to close when.... 

I immediately woke up. Wait what I was dreaming!. I saw ben my brother standing next to me holding a glass filled with half water. 

'were u throwing water on me' 

'yes

' why'

'because your late for school'

'why didn't you woke me up' 

'I tried but you were sleeping like a koala'  

I looked at the clock and only 10 minutes were left. I quickly got up, put on my clothes and ran to the school with toast in my mouth. My cousins and siblings study in some other school except for Jimin we study in the same school. So I walk to school with him but today I was alone as I was late. I went inside my school building and got straight to my locker my friend Mia came to me and said 

'I thought you were not coming today' 

'looks like I did' 

'why were you late anyway' 

'I.. Was sleeping' 

I quickly took my books from my locker and went to my class with my friend. The lesson was pretty boring I was about to doze off when someone hitted me hard on the head from behind. 

 'Ouch' I said angrily looked back to see Lucas smiling at me like an idiot.

'what do you want now lucas' 

'did you checked your seat before sitting' 

'huh?'  

I got up to check and a gum was stuck on the chair which meant it was also on my pent. I touche my pants and ewe that's gross. 

'Julia is there something wrong' 

'yes sir' 

'what is it' 

'actually sir, may I go to the washroom'

'yes, you can' 

'thank you sir' 

I took off my upper shirt and wrapped it around my waist to cover my pent.

'I am going to kill you for this' I mouthed him. 

I went to the washroom and washed the gum of my pent, it was really difficult. Then I came back to the class and sat on my chair after carefully inspecting that there is nothing else. Who knows what that Idiot can do. 

After school was over. I got home and slept for two hours straight. When my aunt came in and woke me up 'get up quickly someone wants to meet you'

I went to see who it was and there was he standing the person I hated the most. 

'Why are you here' 

'for the project'

'what project' 

'the one miss Williams assigned us for' 

Oh my, how can I forget we both were assigned for a project? Then I took him to my room and we started discussing some points. But he wouldn't even listen to me.

'look if you want this project to finish quickly please be a little helpfull' 

'what do you thing I am doing' 

'irritating me' 

'I am helping you if you can't see' 

'Ugly pig' I mumbled. 

'What did you said'  

'Nothing look we have to paste it over here ‘I told him. 

'No over here' and here we go arguing on where to paste it. It took us 5 freaking hours to complete it because of that jerk. Finally he'll be gone I thought but I was wrong aunt asked him to stay for dinner and of course that greedy human being agreed. I hate him. At dinner my aunt and he were talking like best friends. 

'how's Julia at school' 

'she's good but she doesn't pay attention' 

'hmm, what plans do you have for future' 

'I am thinking to work in my father's business' 

What the. She was asking him questions like she was about to fix my marriage. After dinner he finally left. Thank God. 

But my happiness didn't last long. Nest day my aunt bought a friend of hers home. She had a son and a daughter who looked like she was eight or something. 

'Julia this miss Henry and she's her daughter Janet and that's her son Davis' 

'Hi miss Henry' 

'Hi sweetheart' 

'so we're going to the mall and I need you three to take care of her' 

I looked on my side and Veronica and Jimin were standing there. 

'can I trust you' 

'you sure can'  

'I hate babysitting' 

'it's not like your the only one babysitting her Jimin' 

He just rolled his eyes on me and went from there

'you take care of her' 

'why don't you take them and watch TV' Veronica told me

I took Janet and Davis to watch TV. They both sat on the couch but Janet kept on pinching Davis saying that she needs more place. I called Davis and he sat next to me. After some time Janet cam to me and sat on my lap and started pushing Davis. She was a difficult kid. I moved Davis a little but then she came near him and started pushing him again. What did she want? I made Davis sit on the other side of me but now she started pushing me. I moved to the other side but she came there as well. 

'Davis how old is she' 

'She's nine' 

'why is she so stubborn' 

'I don't know' 

I doubt if she is a nine year old. I was losing my patience now.

'Veronica do something' 

'maybe she's hungry' 

I brought her some biscuits but she threw the plate on the floor and started shouting and crying like a maniac. I tried shushing her but she wouldn't listen. Just then aunt came in. Thank God. Aunt went in her room to put the bags. When her mother saw her crying she got angry. She sushed her and looked at me with pure hatred. 

'mommy she slapped me' that girl said crying 

'who' 

'that girl with blue eyes' she pointed to me

'did you slapped my daughter, how dare you' 

'I didn't slap her' 

'now your lying' 

'she didn't' Veronica spoke

'I am not talking to you, I wonder why you are so in mannered you don't even have parents and probably they didn't taught you anything'  

Just then a felt a sharp feeling run through me. 

'listen women I don’t care whoever you are but you are not allowed to talk about my parents like that and before praising me please look at your daughter before'. 

'don’t you know how to respect elders' 

'you don’t look like one' I simply said.

Before she could say anything else aunt told her to leave. Then she came to me and apologized for her friends behavior 

'I am sorry Hon I shouldn't  called given the responsibility of her daughter to you' 

'It's okay' 

Of course it wasn't her fault. I forgave her and we both hugged. After that Veronica and Jimin came to me with there eyes fully open. 

'what happened' 

'how did you do that' asked Veronica 

'do what' 

'your eye color, it changed' 

'it's the same blue Veronica' 

'no I mean when you got angry your eye colour changed to bright purple' 

'comon it's real life, those things only happen in fiction' 

'believe me I saw that, right John'
