Gross.

Sticky, filthy mud all over her clothes. The air was so heavy; her lungs could hardly go up. Her heart seemed to be racing and it was heavy, only causing her pain.

Was it this cold when they first arrived? Summer was it?

Oh, how she hated it like this. Would it not have been a blessing if she were in a hot bath right now? The boiling water cleaning her skin, but instead she was stuck, her body sinking in this disgusting mud. This sticky feeling along her chest to her upper arm… So disgusting… It was staining her dress. Thank God, the feeling was slowly fading.

She was looking for him. What was she looking at again? It was so hard to see… Where was it? In her left, no, right pocket, wasn’t it? Her hand trembled towards it. There it was. All of this for a piece of paper? So exhausted. She looked to the other side this time – there he was. Oh, she had dreamt of this moment for so long and finally, here she was. Regret, she regrets everything, all of it… Still, she would not change a single thing. Ironic, isn’t it?

She extended her hand, tightly holding the letter. She mouthed his name, where was the power to call him out loud? She lacked the pride to. He did not move… He had turned his face away from her.

It was all for nothing.

If she could, she would have cried.

And a cup of liquor could have burned the pain wy – or so she wished.

The car’s engine started and they set off deep into the woods. Mud all over the tires, making it hard for the car to drive forward. They knew that the road was close so they kept on going. What a cursed lake, what a hardship friendship was, what a nuisance the last few months have been.

Freedom was gifted at the lake that day. Did they get forgiven for all their sins? Did they not prey enough? Or was the sorrow not enough to awake mercy from the God above?

Twisted isn’t it….

They live in world with no ruler.

Forgive All My Sins

Lord Jesus,

You opened the eyes of the blind,

healed the sick,

forgave the sinful woman,

and after Peter's denial confirmed him in your love.

Listen to my prayer:

forgive all my sins,

renew your love in my heart,

help me to live in perfect unity

with my fellow Christians

that I may proclaim your saving power

to all the world.
