Techno was walking through the woods, his mantel (Cape) flowing in the wind behind him. His hooves click against the frozen ground of the antarctic lands leaving small indentations in the ice. His pink hair in a braid flowing behind him bouncing with each step that he took. His hogglen mask parched upon his face hiding the scars that lay upon his nose and eyes. His broad shoulder allowed him to carry his heavy armor with long prideful steps. His axe was settled along the length of his shoulders. Its purple tent shining in the light of the sun that was peering through the leaves of the trees.

Techno’s ears twitched hearing all of the sound going on around him. Looking around as he walked he suddenly heard a twig snap from behind the bushes to the left. Techno took slow and silent steps closer to the bush. With a quick movement he pulled the bush apart to find a small frightened boy who looked to be around 8 years old. The boy, being surprised and frightened by the sudden movement, looked up at Techno with wide eyes. 

The boy had marble blue eyes that could catch the sunlight just perfectly. Though the boy's eyes held no spark in them, only fear and panic. The boy had smooth olive skin and soft freckles across his nose bridge. He had black fluffy hair that fell in his face and filled with thick curls. His body was short and very thin. His body shaking in fear as he looked up at the broad shouldered and scared man standing above him.

Techno looked surprised to see a boy this young out on his own in the middle of the woods. Not to mention if techno did take him back home it was a long walk in the over world and through the nether either way that he took. Techno could see the fear on the boy’s face not knowing what to do he slowly knelt down to the boy and tried to hold his hand out to him but the boy flinched away and covered his face with his arms scared of being hit. 

Techno’s eyes widened at the boy’s reaction and quickly pulled his hand away from the boy. He looked at the boy with a look of pity and concern. He sighed and sat back on his heels looking at the boy thinking.

Techno sighed and thought for a moment trying to find the right words to comfort the boy. The voices in his head were telling him to kill the boy since he was an orphan. Though something else pulled Techno from killing the boy. He put his axe down beside him looking at the boy with a gentle and concerned gaze.

“Hey little guy, where are your parents? And why are you out here all alone? It's dangerous, you know that?” Techno spoke in a gentle tone. This surprised himself because he never knew that he could be this gentle since he was speaking with an orphan. 

The boy looking around spoke up in broken English, “N-no parents. Just escaped……. Lab was held in”. 

Techno’s heartbroken without himself allowing it to happen. Techno has never felt feelings like this before for someone other than Philza. Techno gently picked up the boy and kept him close. The boy felt like ice. His temperature was lower than it should have been. Techno took off his mantel (cape) and wrapped it around the boy to keep him warm. 

The boy slowly warmed up from the mixture of body heat and the warmth that the mantel (cape) provided. He snuggled into Technos chest to find more comfort and warmth in the man's arms. The boy, still having the mind of a 3 year old, popped his thumb into his mouth and suckled. He was getting sleepy from the Technos's slow and delicate foot steps mixed with the sound of Techno's steady heartbeat.

Techno was walking to his and Philza's house that they have in the north. They were still plotting and building pogtopia. Techno also had to show Philza the vault but that wasn't on his mind at the moment. As he continued to walk he held the boy in his arms. Techno didn't comment on the boy's thumb sucking knowing younger children do it as a self soothing action. It was going to be a long walk  back since Techno was walking in the woods for 2 hours to clear his head before he found the boy.

Two Silent walking hours later. 

The house slowly came into view. Philza was working on getting materials in the Mine's close to their house. Techno walked into the house and gently placed the boy down on the floor. He went over to his chest and looked through them to see what he could find to heal the boy. He found a golden apple and some bandages. He was going to leave the clothes up to Philza since the only sense of style he had were the clothes that he had on now. 

Techno knelt down in front of the boy and gave him the apple to eat while he was patched up. The starving boy took the apple without thinking about it as he slowly ate it. He wasn't worried about how it tasted, he just wanted something to be put into his stomach. He flinched a little on some of the wounds that Tachno had patched up but didn't cry out since it didn't hurt that back. He looked up as Philza entered the house with his pickaxe on his back. He was surprised to see a child there with Techno that Techno hasn't already murdered for blood. 

"Techno?! What the fuck is this?! How the hell are you not going ape shit about this?!" Philza asked in a surprised tone. He watched the boy eat the apple as Techno patched him up.

"Not right now Phil I will explain later. For now can you get the boy some clothes out of storage. I don't want him getting cold in these thin torn up clothes." Techno responded as he worked on the boys injuries. He completely ignored Philza questions not bothering to answer them at the moment. 

Philza, unable to argue with the stubborn Piglen sighed and nodded walking off the basement. Once his wounds were fixed Philza helped the boy into the clean clothes then laid him down in a bed letting him sleep. Techno and Philza went outside to speak while killing off mobs to get some materials.

"So about the boy?" Philza asked, looking at Techno who was killing off a baby zombie before it got to Philza.

"I was on a walk in the woods with my axe to clear my mind because the voices started to act up again." Techno started as he fought against a spider, "I was at the L'manburge border mind my own business when I heard a snap behind some bushes. Well when i looked behind them i found the boy. He was frightened and scared and he also looked hurt.  Something happened at that moment that made the voices quiet down. He was an orphan but for some reason I didn't wanna hurt him, I wanted to protect him." 

Philza nodded as he listened to Techno speak also while getting attacked by an enderman. He was a bit surprised that the voices in Techno's head didn't rail him up and make him kill the boy. He sighed and finished off the enderman.

"And his name or where he came from?" Philza asked as he walked to the light up porch and sat down to take a break.

"There was a name tag on his old clothes. It was sewn into the fabric. I found it when I was throwing away his old clothes. It said 'Sythen' I think. And he said that he came from a lab when I asked him where he lived but he begged me not to send him back to the place so I brought him here. I don't know what he is capable of but i know that we can't send him back" Techno spoke as he plopped back down next to Philza on the porch of the house.

Philza nodded, trying to come up with a plan to keep the boy hidden but also protected at the same time. Both men called it quotes for the night and went to bed. Waiting for the next day to arrive to continue their quest.
