Description
June 1905, in a small town in Quebec.
Wandering out in the evening to find inspiration for his first novel, Aldéric finds curious people gathered in front of an apartment. Two policemen get out of the house with a body. An arm escapes from the stretcher, bloated, dotted with blisters. Panicked, everybody goes with their own hypothesis on the cause of death. It could be an infectious disease! But for Aldéric, this could make a good story…
A female voice pulls him from his thoughts. Turning around, he finds a beautiful lady. Explaining she heard him earlier when he was talking to himself about the book, she would have favor to ask.
No questions asked (it is not very gallant to refuse service to a lady), Aldéric accepts the request. Has he made the right choice?
