The Demon Realm’s Greatest Spender: Origins

The Spoiled Heir Joins a Guild

The Spoiled Heir Joins a Guild

Oct 19, 2025

The Demon Realm of Vahraxis was loud, chaotic, and never quiet for more than three seconds.
Explosions were morning alarms, duels were evening entertainment, and the occasional collapsing castle was just another Tuesday.

Magic storms twisted across the crimson sky while demons of every size argued about taxes, pride, or who accidentally set whose tavern on fire.
Amid that madness stood ten colossal thrones—the Tenfold Realms—each ruled by a Demon Lord embodying one of the primal sins.

And among them, the Bakian family ruled the Tenth Realm of Ruin.
Their specialty wasn’t administration, diplomacy, or even war.
It was destruction. Pure, unfiltered, theatrical destruction.

Jexy Bakian, grandson of the legendary Demon King Dalph Bakian, inherited two things from that terrifying bloodline:
**infinite mana** and **permanent no-chant casting**.
He could conjure a volcano with a yawn, split mountains while checking his nails, and casually delete a small army if he sneezed too hard.
He was, without question, the strongest mage alive.
And he absolutely hated doing anything.

“Why bother saving the world,” he once said, “when I can buy it a round of drinks instead?”

So that’s what he did.
Every day, Jexy wandered from tavern to tavern across the Demon Realm, drinking, gambling, and generously stimulating the local economy—mostly through accidental property damage.
His reputation spread faster than wildfire: *The Spoiled Heir of the Demon Realm.*
A man so rich he could bankrupt an entire guild just by tipping too much.

On this particular day, he was staggering through the lower city of Solneva, nursing a mild hangover and a gold coin between his fingers.
He was considering whether to flip the coin into a wishing fountain or at a passing bard when a large, hand-painted sign caught his eye.

> **RECRUITMENT!**
> *The Chalice of Emberlight — New Members Wanted!*
> *Apply within. Competence optional. Courage mandatory.*

Jexy blinked.
A guild? Here?
He squinted at the figure standing by the sign—a tall woman in dark red armor, hair like living flame, eyes sharper than any blade.
Even through the haze of last night’s ale, he could tell one thing: she was *beautiful.*

He strolled closer, grinning. “Hey there. So this is the place that’s hiring?”

Lyssara Veinflare, the guild’s fiery president, looked up from her clipboard.
She’d been recruiting all morning, rejecting fools who thought ‘guild’ meant ‘free drinks.’
The last thing she expected was a lazy-eyed noble strolling up with a smirk that screamed *trouble.*

“Yes,” she said crisply. “The Chalice of Emberlight. We’re small, but serious. You interested?”

Jexy rubbed his chin. “Interested? Not really. Just bored.”
Her eyebrow twitched. “Then don’t waste my—”
“But you seem fun,” he interrupted, flashing a lazy grin. “What’s the test?”

“There’s a combat assessment,” Lyssara said, crossing her arms. “We don’t take freeloaders. Pass the trial and you’re in.”

Jexy sighed. “Ugh. Combat. That sounds like effort.”
He glanced at the recruitment board again, then back at her. “What if I… pay the fee instead?”

Lyssara blinked. “Fee?”

“Yeah, you know, skip the test. Go straight to the drinking part. How much?”

Her expression froze somewhere between disbelief and fury. “One million gold,” she snapped, just to shut him up. “If you’ve got *that,* I’ll personally write your name on the roster.”

“Deal,” he said instantly.

Before she could process what happened, a gleaming heap of gold coins materialized beside her boots, shimmering with runic light.
The crowd gasped.
Lyssara’s jaw dropped. “You—where—how—?!”

Jexy yawned, dusting his hands. “All right, where do I sign?”

She pointed, speechless, to the parchment.
He scribbled his first name—**Jexy**—and nothing else.
No surname, no title.

Lyssara narrowed her eyes. “No last name?”

He smiled faintly. “Some things are better left unannounced.”

And just like that, the most infamous heir of the Demon Realm joined an F-rank guild out of boredom.
No one there knew who he really was.
No one guessed the amount of chaos that simple signature was about to unleash.

Jexy Bakian should have been the next great Demon Lord.
Instead, he became the biggest disappointment in the entire Demon Realm.

Born with infinite mana and permanent no-chant casting—abilities every magician dreams of—Jexy could have conquered nations.
But after realizing his grandfather is the infamous “Soul of Ruin,” a literal world-ending demon, Jexy decides there’s only one logical solution:

Don’t work. Don’t fight. Don’t care.

Now branded as the Spoiled Heir, Jexy spends his days drinking, gambling, dodging political meetings, and driving his family’s advisors insane.
His loyal succubus maid, Freya Monar, keeps trying to make him act “like a proper noble.”
He keeps pretending not to hear her.

Unfortunately, trouble keeps finding him anyway—duels, demon tournaments, overdramatic heroes, and the occasional holy crusade.
And somehow, every time he tries to avoid chaos, he ends up in the center of it.

The Demon Realm calls him a disgrace.
His enemies call him a joke.
But when things get serious, everyone learns the same painful truth—
the laziest man in the underworld is also the most overpowered idiot alive.
