Description
A Human, a Xadalion, and an Ogziran attempt to smuggle a rare element into a hostile solar system by entering "The Rip", a terrifying and dangerous dimension.
Hazel Obradelle, an ambitious engineer, has been gifted psychic abilities by her mystic alien companion Izik Saun. On the run from his tyrannical brother posing as the messiah of his home world, they attempt to enter the solar system of a hostile race known as Ogzirans, the same species as their gracious host Mace; a guarded Ogziran war vet turned independent explorer.
With them, they carry Xadite: a rare material export stolen from Izik's home; in hopes of bartering some of it and possibly rendering it into fuel for their broken warp drive. They must get it through security first, which can be evaded if Izik and Hazel navigate "The Rip": a dangerous and turbulent dimension. Even though Izik is a seasoned, powerful psychic with experience in The Rip; Hazel is a novice navigating a new world on shaky legs. After a horrific experience that shakes her perception of reality itself, they both survive, but at what cost?
