A being in distant lands, born with no purpose, found a planet and saw how foolish humans are. Events repeated themselves, and they always murdered a certain person—someone special. But this time, the being changed it. He transformed the person into something unexplained.

The being asked him to keep balance, but he couldn't. The being created the Eyes. The Eyes found the formula: some humans have unstable Thanatos (the desire for destruction) and unstable Eros (the desire for life).

The story begins with the first descendants. Moon Eye... a girl named Cluna, born with grey skin. Years before, her mother had been assaulted by a moon being while trying to end her life with her friend, who was killed by a ship motor during their attempt. The mother escaped to the shore and met a kind man, Moon Eye. He assaulted her, but the town forgave her and gave her another chance—to marry a man. Years later, a letter is sent: Cluna's head must be cut off, slaughtered by her father. Cluna overhears her parents and decides to end her life. She asks the moon for love and then jumps from the top of a building. The white flower she loved and held grows out of her mouth.

Moon Eye comes and takes the flower. Cluna wakes up in a distant, horrifying world. He gave her power... things happen... (Spoiler) She discovers her past life. She was an Eye, but she chose to fall in love with a human, who was then burned by her sister on top of a minaret. Cluna discovers that Moon Eye wants to use her to birth a being called Religion, but she finds a way to reach her love on the moon.
