Finally, the little white colt stretched open his blue eyes. He shook his blue mane and looked around. The nursery was so big. The colt turned his small head towards the warm belly that had fed him, then looked up. There was his mother, smiling down at him with green eyes gleaming. "My, you've opened your eyes! It's about time I named you." Her silvery-white pelt reflected rainbows in the sun's rays.
Eventually she decided. His mother said, "I will name you Snow, until you become a guardian." Snow climbed onto his mother's soft but comfy pelt, and slid down, only to start crying out of hunger. Though the little colt did not know, this unicorn wasn't his real mother, but he'd depend on her for a while.
