Viv glanced around, an unknown field of wildflowers surrounded her. She breathed in the flowery fragrance, on edge despite the peaceful place. Suddenly a bat flew into the field, even though it was daylight. The bat circled her, yet Viv was unafraid. Just as the bat moved to land on her outstretched palm, a small horse galloped into the clearing. The black horse was dripping wet and had cattails in its mane. The horse struck at the bat and the bat flew at the horse to return the attack. Viv screamed, desperate for them to stop.
