In the not too distant future, the leaders of the Nine Galactic Systems are at the height of their power. One of the instruments to exercise their power is The Holy Order of the Long Rifle, a clandestine society of assassins charged to hold power in check across the systems.
Vorpal, the best of those assassins, is sent on the most important kill of her career when she starts experiencing flashbacks she cannot comprehend. When she cannot complete the job, she is forced to go on the run from her closest comrades, most brutal villains, police and military forces.
