*An older woman walks in and sets a basket of art supplies down on one of the tables*

?: You've been working hard all Day Ari,why don't you go home early

*Ari turns her head to look at the woman behind her*

Ari: are you sure Melinda? I can help clean up if you want? 

Melinda: oh no dear , you go on ahead I'll see you next week

*A few hours later,Ari walks out of the studio paying for an Uber*

*She gets in the cab* 

*Scene cuts to Ari texting her boyfriend that she'll be home early*

*Ari looks out the window glancing at all the street lights*

Pov Ari* : The city is beautiful tonight..I love living here..

*Music plays and The Title pops up on the screen*

*Scene cuts to Ari unlocking her apartment door*

Ari: Babe I'm home! Are you here?

*Ari then plops her purse down on the dinning room table*

*Suddenly a crash comes from her bedroom*

Pov Ari*: what was that noise?

*Nervous,Ari opens the door quickly, then she witnesses Her ex boyfriend and best friend in bed together*

Ari : what the.. Really Dante! In our apartment?! With MY best friend?!!

Dante: babe let me explain -

Ari: I don't wanna hear it ! Get out,the both of you! Now!!

*Both Dante and her best friend Keysha Walk out of the apartment*

*Heartbroken ,Ari warms up some left overs,and starts watching TV*

*One month later*

*Scene cuts to Ari grocery shopping, she starts to inspect the vegetables*

*Soon a guy with pure white skin and dreads comes in behind her*

?: I knew you liked shopping here..

*Ari turns around in shock*

Ari: Malcolm..? How'd you know I'd be here?

Malcolm: your mom told me you'd be here.. also I heard you'd be in town

Ari : yea I just moved back,my art studio moved to this area 

Malcolm: that's amazing..

*Shy, both Ari and Malcolm both stood there silently*

Malcolm: I..I missed you Ari..

Ari: I missed you too.. are you still with. ?

Malcolm: you mean Keysha? No I'm not with her anymore after she cheated with your boyfriend

Ari: I'm so sorry..

Malcolm: it's ok..but how are you feeling?

Ari: a little heartbroken..but I'll get over it

Malcolm* clears throat* are you doing anything tonight?

Ari: not really why?..

*Blushing, Malcolm scratches the back of his neck*

Malcolm: I was wondering if you would wanna spend the night with me tonight..

Pov Ari*:  sleep.. with him? This is a dream come true..

Ari: I would love to

Malcolm: great! I'll see you tonight then?

Ari: yep 

*Malcolm walks away feeling Happy and excited*

*Ari looks back at the fruit and puts two of the apples in her basket*

Pov Ari: Malcolm's changed so much since high school,I wonder how he is now?

*Scene cuts to Ari ringing Malcolm's door bell*

*Malcolm opens the door*

Malcolm: hey you made it

Ari: *smiles*you know I'm never late 

*Ari comes inside and Malcolm closes the door*

Ari: this is your place? 

Malcolm: yea ,my parents wanted me to put candles everywhere,but I insisted on just going with clean air.. it's good for my skin

Ari : how are you anyway? 

Malcolm: I'm ok..I scheduled a few doctors appointments for this month and the rest of the year

Ari: that's good

Malcolm: what about you, how's everything going with your art ? 

*Both sit down on the couch*

Ari: everything is going good umm..my job now is doing an art expedition in two weeks so my art is pretty good so far*smiles*

*Both of them blush, and then looked away* 

*A couple hours later,Ari and Malcolm sit on the couch watching a movie*

*Malcolm wraps his arms around Ari* 

Malcolm: you look beautiful..

Ari: your just being corny

Malcolm: I'm serious Ari..you don't understand how beautiful you are 

*Shy, Ari blushes a bit and then looks away*

Ari: you don't know how long I've been waiting for you to say that..

*Reluctantly,both Ari and Malcolm pull in for a kiss*

*The next morning,Ari wakes up to sleeping next to Malcolm in his bed*

*Ari looks around for a bit and then spots a notification on her phone*

Ari pov)- ugh...I don't wanna deal with him..

*Ari notices that it's her cheating ex Dante and deletes his messages*

*Ari then puts her phone down*

*Malcolm Wakes up to Ari looking extremely irritated*

Malcom: everything ok?

Ari: yea just my good for nothing ex just texted me*plops her phone on the bed*

Malcolm: don't worry Ari ,I won't let nothing happen to you 

*Suddenly there's a bang coming from the front door*

Malcolm: who can that be at this hour of the morning?

*Grabs gun*

Ari: you have a fire arm?

Malcolm: got it from the military...

*Both Malcolm and Ari quietly walk out of the bedroom*

*Quietly, Malcolm looks through the peephole*

Malcolm: who is it..?

Dante: it's me pale face, open the door!

Malcolm: *mouths* should I really be opening this door?

Ari:*mouths * just do it

*Reluctantly, Malcolm opens the door*

*Dante rushes in grabbing her shoulders*

Dante: baby look I'm sorry, can you please come back home

Ari: no ,and I'm not your "baby" anymore,I moved on 

*Annoyed , Ari pushes Dante off her shoulders*

*Ari then walks over to Malcolm and hugs him* 

Ari: I'm with someone new now, someone who actually sees me for me

*Malcolm holds Ari close to him and pulls out his gun*

Dante: what makes you think you'll like him?

Ari: because like him..he actually knows how to get things done, you and Keysha deserve each other..

*Feeling like a total failure,Dante walks away with his head down low*

*Noticing Malcolms face, Dante glares at him*

Dante: I'll make you pay for this Pale face..

Malcolm: I'll be looking forward to that..

*Angry, Dante slams the door and walks into his car*

*Looking through the peephole, Malcolm locks the door*

Ari: *rolls eyes* I can't believe I was ever interested in him..

Malcolm: yea he's a real jerk..

Ari: I'm starving..

Malcolm: want me to make breakfast?

Ari: sure..

*Both Malcolm and Ari walk into the kitchen*

*The scene ends with Ari making tea*
