Lamenting her pets' short and vulnerable lifespans, Marice dabbled in various arcane disciplines in an attempt to bring her beloved friends back to the land of the living. One day, she stumbled across her great grandmother's grimoire of necromancy, which contains the ultimate healing spell known to all five realms: Resurrection.

The ability to reanimate corpses is good fun and all, but why settle there if you can fully resurrect the dead? Impossible for a human to pull off, they say. Maybe they just didn't try hard enough!

And so, she set off overseas to satiate her newfound passion in the dark arts, hoping that one day she would be able to master the ultimate spell and revive her pets. After several long years of studying the forbidden craft, she finally earned the title of Apprentice Necromancer on her twentieth birthday.

With renewed confidence, she flew back to her hometown, only to have a chance encounter with a necromancer who performed the ultimate healing spell before her eyes.

And thus, her master plan begins! What could possibly go wrong?
