Sunlight streamed through the windows of me and Night's bedroom. I felt my eyelids twitching open, so I had no choice but to wake up and start the day. I stretched and yawned, trying to wake myself up.

"Alright, let's head to the kitchen and get some food," I told myself. "Shouldn't be hard."

Nope. I was wrong. As I went to climb out of bed, two giant arms grabbed my waist and pulled me back to the center of my bed. I spun around, to see who the culprit was. It was none other than my boyfriend, Night, who'd most likely been awake since midnight. (He hates sleeping.) He opened his eyes and shot me his best smile.

"Mornin', Bean," Night said, grinning at me. "Did you sleep well?"

"I was, until I went to get up to make food, and you scared the shit outta me." I said, rolling my eyes playfully.

"Don't be like that. I'm sorry." Night pulled me up against his bare chest and snuggled against me. "I promise I won't do it again."

"Alright, I'll forgive you this one time," I say, laughing a little.

Night finally let me go, but before I left, he gave me a parting word of wisdom:

"Hey, Bean; make sure you put on pants before you leave. The neighbors complained last time."

I froze in my tracks and felt my face go hot. I heard Night chuckling softly behind me. So, after putting on sweatpants, I headed out to our kitchen and tried to find some food to eat.

"Nothing.. Welp.. That's a problem.." I told myself as I ransacked the cupboards.

That's when I saw it: The sweet but oh-so bitterly delicious coffee. I slammed the cupboards shut, grabbed a mug, and made a pot of straight (Hahaha, it's funny cuz my bois ain't straight) black coffee. As I was pouring myself a cup, Night appeared in the kitchen as well.

"Oh no.." He said slowly.

"Oh no, what?" I asked, taking a sip of the dark liquid.

"YOU FOUND THE GODDAMN COFFEE, THAT'S THE PROBLEM!" Night yelled. "TAKE SHELTER!"

He dove behind our couch, and threw a blanket over himself.

"Uh, Night..? I don't think coffee makes me hyper.." I said, staring into the mug. "It's not even that good..."

"PRAISE THE LORD, MAY MY GOD HAVE MERCY!" Night screamed, jumping up from the couch.

"If anyone's hyper, it's you," I mumbled to myself.
