Lance was a cowhand for a wealthy family when he and the other cowhands were viciously attacked while moving cattle from one pasture to another during a vicious blizzard. He gets shot during the fight with the robbing gang, but is saved by a small group. These turn out to be another group of outlaws, rivals to the ones that attacked him, and he joins their ranks.
