Hey everyone! Welcome to the first page of Who Prayed for the Devil.
I'm really excited to start progressing on this comic. I already have one chapter entirely sketched out, two thirds of said chapter lined, and one third colored, so there's definitely lots of content to come!
Please excuse the darkness of the first dozen pages--the stark white background of tapas makes the colors appear rather dark. I wish there was a dark mode option. I do all my work in Procreate, which has a dark gray background, so color adjusting can be a bit difficult at times.
FOR FANS OF SHALE: I've said it a million times and I'll say it again--I'm not abandoning Shale. I'd really like to return to it one day, but I need a fresh start with something new. I started Shale in 2014 and a lot has happened in the six years since. Unfortunately, I found myself in a constant rough spot so I need some time to regroup on that front.
I work hard to try and intersperse the heavier aspects of this comic with humor or light-hearted moments, but that's not to say this won't be a very dense comic with a lot of complicated themes and emotions. If you're looking for something a little less intense, I highly recommend the following comics:
--SUNSHINE BOY by moosopp on sparklermonthly.com
--Check, Please! by Ngozi Ukazu at omgcheckplease.tumblr.com
--Tripping over you by Owen and Suzana at trippingoveryou.com
After being taken in by the very detective that delivered him freedom from his sordid past, Kevin Kashino finds himself growing increasingly interested with the man's work. In a desperate bid for redemption, Kevin finds himself taking on the man's cases in secret, using his dark underground of illegal contacts and immoral friends to bring long-suffered mysteries to a much needed close.
(CW for drugs, abuse, general mature content, violence, and irritating kids doing frustrating things)
