If you knew that your words are now too much to handle,
Would you care?
If you knew that your beatings have left me begging to die,
Would you care?
If you knew that I starve myself every day,
Would you care?
If you knew that I take blades to my skin every night,
Would you care?
If you knew that I've rewritten the note thousands of times,
Would you care?
If you knew that the final note is under my mattress,
Would you care?
If you knew that I have over 10 different ways to end the pain permanently,
Would you care?
If you heard at least one of the ways,
Would you care?
If you knew that the time is coming soon,
Would you care?
If you knew that today is the day,
Would you care?
If you knew that I'm walking up the steps to my room, preparing to carry out the final act,
Would you care?
If you knew that tears are flowing down my cheeks while I pick up the supplies needed,
Would you care?
If you knew that I have the note laying on the kitchen table,
Would you care?
If you knew that it's all going to end soon,
Would you care?
If you knew that I'm no longer going to be a burden,
Would you care?
If you knew that I'm no longer going to be a punching bag,
Would you care?
If you knew that I'm putting the blades to my wrist, ready to cut the deepest I've ever cut,
Would you care?
If you knew that a knife is at my throat,
Would you care?
If you knew that the pill bottle is empty, the pills laying in my hand,
Would you care?
If you knew that the rope is around my neck as I stand upon a chair,
Would you care?
If you knew that I'm standing on the dock awaiting the chance to let the endless black abyss swallow me whole,
Would you care?
If you knew that a loaded gun is at my head with my finger on the trigger,
Would you care?
If you knew that I'm walking to the train tracks to wait for the train,
Would you care?
If you knew that I'm walking to the bridge where I'm going to go over the edge,
Would you care?
If you knew that crimson is coating my arms while puddles of it form below me,
Would you care?
If you knew that blood is filling my lungs,
Would you care?
If you knew that my hand is now empty of pills as feel myself getting lighter,
Would you care?
If you knew that the chair I was standing on is now laying on the ground below me, the rope being the only thing supporting me,
Would you care?
If you knew that I finally jumped into the water, letting myself sink while the surface disappears from my sight,
Would you care?
If you knew that blood is now pooling around my head, the gun still smoking in my hand, the sound of it going off being the last thing I heard,
Would you care?
If you knew that the train has came into view, the wheels screeching as it tries to stop as I go flying under it,
Would you care?
If you knew that I jumped the ground below getting closer, the wind blowing around me before a thud echoes in the valley followed by everything going black,
Would you care?
If you knew that my parents found the note on the table,
Would you care?
If you knew that realization washed over them as they finished reading the note,
Would you care?
If you knew that they were on their way up to my bedroom hoping to stop me,
Would you care?
If you knew that they were on their way to the lake, the train tracks or the bridge hoping to stop me,
Would you care?
If you knew that they found my body in my bedroom, ice cold with blood around me, dangling from the ceiling or laying peacefully on my bed with the bottle abandoned on the ground,
Would you care?
If you knew that they couldn't find me at the dock, but they found the train stopped a few hundred feet down the tracks or my body at the bottom of the valley,
Would you care?
If you knew that my mom lost it at that moment, cling to my dad as her sobs echoed through the house,
Would you care?
If you that my mom lost it at one of those locations, collapsing to the ground,
Would you care?
If you knew that those lights and sirens of the emergency personnel that flew past your house were for me,
Would you care?
If you knew that they shook their heads and pronounced me dead on arrival,
Would you care?
If you knew that the coroner ruled my death to be a suicide,
Would you care?
If you knew that I am now being loaded into the back of a hearse,
Would you care?
If you saw that I wasn't at school the next day,
Would you care?
If you saw that the teachers reactions were different than their usual ones and were now horror stricken ones with tears flowing down their cheeks,
Would you care?
If you heard the intercom crackling to life during homeroom,
Would you care?
If you heard the principal struggling to speak,
Would you care?
If you heard “Attention students and staff, it’s with a heavy heart that we were informed that one of our own *insert my name* committed suicide last night...”,
Would you care?
If you heard the screams from my best friend down the hall,
Would you care?
If you and your accomplice made eye contact realizing that it has finally happened,
Would you care?
If you realize what you have done,
Would you care?
If you knew that the cops were now checking my social media and the school security footage for evidence that’s linked to the note I left,
Would you care?
If you knew that they were now on their way to the grave sight to make some arrests,
Would you care?
As you see the whole town shut down,
Do you care?
As you see the whole town show up,
Do you care?
As you see my body laying in the casket,
Do you care?
As you hear the speeches that are being given about me being such a wonderful person, friend and daughter,
Do you care?
As you hear the sound of bagpipes playing as they arrived at the graveyard,
Do you care?
As you see them lowering my casket into the ground,
Do you care?
As the cops pull up to the graveyard,
Do you care?
As your friends and you are being asked what your names are,
Do you care?
As you see the look of realization cross everyone’s face,
Do you care?
As you are being put in cuffs and read your rights,
Do you care?
As your being put in the back of the car,
Do you care?
As the cop cars are pulling away, heading to the local jail,
Do you care?
As you are sitting in the room, waiting on your parents to arrive,
Do you care?
As your parents look at you with such horror,
Do you care?
As that cell door closes behind you,
Do you care?
As the court date looms closer and closer,
Do you care?
As the jury says, “We find the defendant’s guilty on all accounts.”
Do you care?
As you see the outside world for the last time,
Do you care?
As you sit in your cell realizing what you have done,
Do you care?
As you realize that you have ripped my family apart,
Do you care?
As you finally realize that I'm never coming back thanks to you,
Do you care?
As you realize that I took your words to heart,
Do you care?
As you realize that you loved me,
Do you care?
As the tears flow down your cheeks,
Do you care?
If you could take those words back,
Would you?
If you could take the abuse back,
Would you?
If you could go back and stop me,
Would you?
If you could of just said I love you,
Would you?
