The Weight of Fate
Prologue: The Weight of Legacy
✨ Time does not begin with a second, nor does history begin with a point. In Zhyndor, everything is born from the echo of what has already been said by the stars. Before the first step, there is the weight of blood, the call that crosses eras and the silence that cries out only for those who inherit the mission of the ancients. When the heir awakens, the universe holds its breath. And the Legacy... begins to pulse.
🌀 Chapter 1 – The Inheritance
Kai’s account, in his own handwritten book...
“After more than 20 years, I, Kai, would never have imagined that Arlen, my grandfather’s mission, would also become mine. When I first met him, he had already been on his quest for 15 years. He had left before I was even born. On the day I turned 18, my grandfather reappeared to rescue my mother and me from the dangers of the Dark Lands. We faced violent storms and attacks from giant, terrifying creatures. But after that week, we were never hit by anything again.
And today, at 35 years old, I understand why. My grandfather spent an entire week telling me about his mission and who was by his side. They saved us that week, but I was numb to the events of the time. Later, when I was introduced to my grandfather and the world he lived in, I wanted to feel that as part of me. A fascinating world... and everything he had done up until then left me in awe. I am certain that even though I saw what happened in our world, that encounter was something I cannot describe—an encounter that rescued me from who I was to who I was meant to be.
I am just like my grandfather. I am a collector of stories. An emissary of the message of the stars. I am a Seeker. For Zhyndor’s legacy to be understood…it needed to be lived.”
Arlen's words have reverberated for 20 years in Kai's mind. He feels them as if they were branded on his soul. And with them, a prophecy — spoken to his grandfather and mother, who never told him, thinking it was meant only for Arlen. But blood speaks. The connection is clear. The weight of what is to come is inevitable.
One night, Kai wakes up with a start. His mind still confused after a vivid nightmare. When he opens his eyes, he is in a place that looks like a Library. The air carries the ancient smell of parchments. The silence is absolute. Time, stopped.
The voice of the Prophet Sharim echoes. No longer in dreams, but inside him.
💬 Prophet Sharim (in Kai's mind):
"The call cannot be denied, Kai... For what is hereditary, it cannot be denied."
Kai sits up in bed. Sweat drips down his forehead. His mind tries to make sense of what he has heard. The Prophet Sharim—untouchable, invisible, unnameable—has spoken to him. The words carry the weight of an inescapable destiny.
"Eight years have passed since he left. But he found you, son of his blood. After a week together, he followed his destiny. But his mission will be fulfilled. In ten years from today, there will be a call among those who were called by Zhyndor. The Gods of Aethopia want their grace restored. The Luthorians were defeated, but the defeat belonged to the Gods."
Hazzim, the keeper of memory, tells Kai that Arlen had left Kai something far beyond a legacy. It was part of the prophecy.
Kai stands up. Inside his chest, something grows—a fire. He must understand. He must prepare himself. And with that... the quest begins.
💬 Kai (silently, to himself):
"I am a Seeker... and my mission begins now."
