Be warned, my friends. When you venture forth into these woods, you can not even trust your own eye. Do not whistle at night. Do not beckon when called. Do not disrespect the wildlife. And whatever you do, do not go into the mist. You may, at best, find yourself on the other side, albeit a bit... Altared.
When a sleepy little town in Tennessee is rattled to its core and flipped on its head by a string of mysterious disappearances, each one getting closer to home, the fate of the town rests in the hands of an unlikely sleuth: a young social pariah by the name of Mel, who finds herself knee deep in much more than a series of missing persons cases.
Join Mel as she ventures forth into the dangerous mists of the Appalachian mountain range, fights all manner of nightmarish ghouls and monsters, meets superhuman baddies who seem to be aligned with her goals... for now at least... and she learns that the few people she thought she could trust may not have been as trustworthy as she once believed. As she ventures deeper into the woods and into the case, she realizes she might not even have known herself as well as she thought.
And to think, her journey is only just beginning.
Join Mel and her ragtag group of friends on their quest to solve the mystery of the missing townsfolk, and uncover the ancient dark secrets lurking just beneath the town's feet.
