When I started this comic back in 2011, I had already finished playing the game all the way through, having taken detailed notes as I went. I wanted this comic to be more story based, rather than just a retelling of the game's story, which anyone who played through Pokemon Black would already know. By starting the story off from the Pokemon's perspective, I hoped to show that this would be more than just vanilla gameplay, that we were going to focus on the characters and what they're going through. I always liked the idea that Pokemon could still experience the world around them even inside the Pokeball.
