Finding honest work as ex-mercenaries is hard. Finding dirty work as a trio of useless nobodies is even harder.
In a medieval world where every person is born with a penchant for one kind of magick, Erland, Wulfram, and Rum are anomalies. As the sole surviving members of The Five Thousand - a notorious band of mercenaries - the trio of stitched-together misfits are forced to help one another. Together, scrounging up money through (mostly) illegitimate ways should be a cinch... but there's just one problem.
Erland can't use any magick. Neither can Rum. Fortunately, they have Wulfram - the magus of... tattoos.
They usually manage.
