Hey there, prospective (or former) reader! This is a preemptive description of my story to help smooth out some of the gaps. They can't all be winners, right? But this story has lasted for over a year now, and I'm not stopping it yet, so I wanted to help make the process more smooth for you. Below is a rough description of each section of my book. If you'd like to just skip that and avoid any and all potential spoilers, then please do! But if you want to make sure that you enjoy the best parts and gloss over the more boring sections, I recommend reading on. You could also read until you hit a wall, then come back to see where you should pick back up! I'm really excited to have you read this story, so thank you so much for coming. My hope is that this section in the beginning here makes this story less daunting for someone new (or returning!) like you. = )
ACT I -
Episodes 2 - 25, Including 2 bonus stories
Generally focusing on Liam crushing on Noah, working to make him jealous, some light worldbuilding. Filled with the pining and early relationship developments. Introduction to friendships and an exploration of Liam’s early time in college to some degree. The initial draw of the whole story.
ACT II -
Episodes 26 - 43, Including 0 bonus stories
Focusing on the end of the school year. First half is a solid continuation of ACT I. As it goes on and we get into the summer, the focus shifts more to worldbuilding and how Liam and Noah function as a couple, which is where the pace slows. By and large, skippable. Mostly just slice of life in the bogged-down middle of the grander story. Introduces some plot elements that are relevant in future episodes, but nothing that will ruin the immersion by missing.
ACT III -
Episodes 44 - 62, Including 2 bonus stories
More slice-of-life with a slightly more focused plot than the latter half of ACT II. Worldbuilding is still a priority over characterization for much of this act. Not necessarily skippable, as it introduces many plot elements that will become relevant going forward and sets up several new characters and character interactions, but if something feels skippable, it can probably be skipped.
ACT IV -
Episodes 63 - Current, including at least 2 planned bonus stories, one of which is a two-parter
Return to form for the series, picking back up on the momentum that flopped somewhere around the middle of ACT II. Storylines from the entire series are brought back to relevancy with an increased focus on plot, tension, and characterization. College and life get in the way of the happy couple that pervaded the previous two acts. If you’re not interested in simpler, more sitcom-like stories and would rather something with more meat on the bones, this is the spot to pick back up.
