Raven, a young orphan thieving on the streets of London, one day finds herself becoming a companion to the Governor's daughter. Though coming from two very different backgrounds, both girls become the very best of friends. But being raised as the family’s ward, Raven knows she can never aspire to stay by her sister’s side forever.
However, after just a few short years their world is turned upside down when their ship to London is attacked by a notorious band of pirates! Cleverly, Raven disguises herself to save her dearest friend from capture and ransom. Now aboard a pirate ship sailing off to an unknown island she finds herself facing off against Seth, the very handsome and troublesome second in command.

What will she do with a Captain that is expecting to be paid a hefty ransom for the return of a girl who is not the true Governor's heir? How will she escape Seth, who after finding out her true identity, starts blackmailing her in the form of kisses and further embarrassing gestures?

With only her wits and her determination, will Raven be able to return home safely? Or will she be bested by the worst of them?
