Two years ago to the date I was prepping my first four chapters of Under Quiet Skies getting ready to release on Tapas.
I set a goal that I wanted to try and write something comprehensive - flesh out a world on paper long enough to be invested, and eventually Erith popped into my head.
A world beginning to fade and a boy farming for the shards that keep his world whole while it quietly fractures.
A little over a year later, I had wrote the final chapter of Book One, and naively thought I could keep pace into Book Two.
I've found so much enjoyment in this journey of writing a story that a younger StrayCat would have a hard time putting down - I think I've hit that goal, but I'm not finished yet.
I've promised myself I'll complete my edits of Book One and move to Book Two - and I'm going to hold myself to that promise, but I will first write Book Two before I publish.
For Tapas, I'll keep Under Quiet Skies up for about one more week and then I will be re-releasing my polished Book One weekly on another platform - I've heard Pinya has a lot of familiar faces, so you can likely find me there in the next month or so.
To everyone who has read the story - I hope it's brought you as much enjoyment as it's brought me. To those who haven't had time to yet, I hope you find it one day! Erith's journey awaits.

I had been going back on forth on this a bit, but I have updated the chapter titles due to consolidating a bit of Ch 1 - 3 so that the story flows a little smoother. Nothing plot-wise has changed! Just a smoother read for new readers, so next chapter will also be "Chapter 48"

It's been a little challenging to keep pace as Book One draws to a close, but I've never been more invested in bringing the story I want to share to life.
These past few months, and especially these past few weeks, I've worked on refining the story (Nothing plot-wise has changed, so if you're currently reading don't worry about that)
I will still be going through and editing for better flow in the future, but I can truly say that this is a story I am incredibly proud of.
I've poured my soul into it, and I hope that the readers feel that as they dive into the story. Some parts you may want to look away, but I hope the story keeps drawing you back.
