Based on your artwork—which is amazing btw—I’m assuming brass. Brass instruments are one of the few families I know next to nothing about, so I’m excited to see if I learn anything new while reading His Musician. 😅

Hey Breezy. I am indeed a musician, and I play quite a few instruments. In fact, I play a little of everything BUT brass. I can't get my lips to perform the vibration needed in order to play. What instruments do you play? I'm gonna assume guitar being one, but I could always be wrong.

You would be correct in assumption about me! ☺️ I do play a little guitar, but not as well as Alastair. 😉 My primary instrument is actually harp, weirdly enough, which translated pretty well into piano when I was a teenager. I sing alright, and of course I also play my favorite instrument: the radio. 😏

That's pretty cool! I've always been intrigued by the harp, though I have only the vaguest idea as to how it's played, and that vague idea is centered around the basics of sound and harmonics. I started off with piano as a kid, but my personal favorite is the saxophone. And by the way, your story so far is absolutely amazing. You do an amazing job of bringing out some of the subtleties of each character.
Ok, I’m a dummy. 😅 I’m sitting here thinking to myself: isn’t saxophone a brass instrument? No, apparently it’s woodwind. Wow, learn something new every day! 🤣
Harp is played like an upright piano. 😋 The sheet music is basically written the same, but pianos have any easier time with chromatic scales and harps produce better glissandos.
